Vacancy for Parish Councillor

Community Speed Concerns

The Parish Council have recently received concerns regarding traffic using Church Road. One of the concerns was speeding traffic and the other was the use of HGV over 7.5 tonne.   On behalf of the Parish Council, Councillor Garnet Cresswell is currently looking at options on how  these concerns can be addressed, including the possibility of a community speed watch scheme. To operate the scheme the parish would need a group of volunteers. If you are interested in helping with the community speed watch scheme please contact the clerk at: clerk@strettonsugwasparishcouncil.co.uk

What is Community Speed watch?

Community Speedwatch is a national initiative where proactive members of local communities join with the support and supervision of their local police to record details of speeding vehicles using approved detection devices.

More information on the scheme can be found at  https://www.communityspeedwatch.org/

Many thanks
